Ellie: I know Stretch but Mommy & Daddy said she was old and sick.
Stretch: Yeah I know but I miss her yelling and biting me all the time.
Ellie: You know she didn't really bite you, she had no teeth.
Stretch: Oh yes she did. She saved a couple just for me and she'd use them whenever she could.
Ellie: I don't believe that, she couldn't even chew her food anymore so how could she bite you. Even if she tried to bite it wouldn't have hurt.
Stretch: All I can say is, if she didn't have any teeth she had some awfully powerful gums because IT HURT. But you know what, it hurts more now that I can't see her anymore or play with her.
Ellie: Yeah, I miss Cousin April too.

It's always just hard to have to say good-bye, but remembering the little things and smiling through it helps a lot.
